Proposed budget

GBP 19,480

Description

The Education Space supports lifelong learning for all. Our project will deliver FREE first aid training for children, young people and residents living in the ward.

The training will equip those attending with the essential life skills and knowledge needed to administer basic emergency first aid for themselves or others until professional medical help arrives.

If selected our project will provide funding to enable ALL year 6 children in all schools in the ward to be offered FREE training in Pupil First Aid. This will be delivered onsite at their schools.

It will also provide funding for an agreed number of FREE training places for children aged 15 and over and adult residents in the ward on an accredited Emergency First Aid training course.  Certification will be awarded which will be valid for 3 years from the date of qualification.  This will be delivered at our training partners’ offices in Stratford.

We believe that equipping residents with this essential life skill will be of great benefit to everyone they come in contact with and will help increase confidence and self-esteem and improve health outcomes for Newham residents.
