My apologies for the late response, and thank you for your question. Below is a breakdown of how the funding will be used and what you can expect from the project.
The aim of this initiative is to reclaim and activate local community spaces by delivering training sessions in accessible locations. As this is a first-time funding application for this project, the budget has been carefully planned to cover essential delivery costs. The funding is modest, but it will allow us to run 8 sessions per month, supported by coaches from two local gyms.
As the programme develops, we also hope to host two showcase events, giving students the opportunity to demonstrate what they’ve learned and to receive certificates or trophies for their achievements.
Forest Cubs CB previously trained in Durning Hall and Magpie Park. With Durning Hall now closed to its usual users, we are exploring alternative community spaces. Forest Lane Lodge may be considered, especially during the colder months.
Project Cost Breakdown
• Coaching fees: £2,500
• Gazebos for outdoor sessions: £500
• Equipment (gloves, pads, mats, portable stands): £875
• Training updates (first aid, CPD, safeguarding): £300
• Competitions and awards: £400

Hello. I couldn’t get to the voting event today so I’m asking the same questions what I’d ask in person – what is the money being spent on? As in a rough breakdown as I want to know what I will actually get for my vote? How many sessions? Is it at Forest Lane Lodge?
