Football Unites

Community Sport Academies- Football Unites is a community-based project that uses the power of sport to improve health, wellbeing, and opportunities for young people and families in Newham.

We know that many families face financial barriers that prevent children and young people from joining sports clubs. Without affordable access, too many miss out on the health, confidence, and social benefits of being active. Our project will remove those barriers by offering some free and low-cost sports sessions right in the heart of the community.

Young people will not only take part, but also lead. They will help design, organise, and deliver activities, gaining confidence, coaching qualifications, and pathways into volunteering and employment. This ensures the project reflects their needs and creates real opportunities for growth.

By making sport accessible to everyone, we aim to:
