Go to the project

What: Organise pop-up events and activities that can extend the town centre's actvity into the early evening.

  • Work with local businesses and organisations to support local events through small funding.
  • Identify locations for temporary roads closures for evening pop-up events offering different food and drink options.
  • Provide training / resources to buisnesses to help them develop successful evening events.

Where: Station Road, neighbouring streets

This would help with improving the feeling of safety on Romford /station road late at night. Also provide a bit of focus that could work really well around here - a hub off the main busy Romford road and close to green space. Indian fusion, coffee, pizza, local Indian all could work well.

    Early evening food pop-up spaces would be a nice idea, anything to detract from the dreadful 'chicken shops' which seem to be placed every 100 yards!

      i think manor park has enough food providers, but pop ups to provide space for local artist, such as painters, sculptures,iron works fashion desginers,to help promote local start ups.

      @Sant Kundi Manor park does have an enormous supply of food providers. It is important that any pop ups are in 'safe' places, not tucked away round corners, but there to serve everyone, preferably on main road.

        Not near my home. Not everyone can stay up half the night. Some people work. Some people just want a little peace. Has anyone considered the older residents?
