Manor Park is fully of diverse people -celebrating their cultures would be lovely and also a way of making people feel more welcome and safe.

Lighting is always an issue. Either too much, and there is plenty of that, or too little. I tend to walk with someone, whenever possible. Women reclaiming the streets, it is still an enormous issue. But a closer community with everyone, people in the flats, everyone, being aware of the safety issues. and looking out for each other.

This would be amazing! I love the lighted trees in Forest Gate and Leyton.

Any sort of festive style lighting to facilitate save passage to destination late at night is a good thing

I think this is a great idea, and would particularly like to see the sort of tree lighting that’s elsewhere in the borough, like near Forest Gate station.

The obvious safety implications aside, lighting like this (hanging/ festoon) is another rather easy way to just lift the look of the high street and make it more appealing to businesses that may want to venture into evening trade.

Walking home at night from the station is a scary experience right now. During the day it's totally fine, but as you walk alone in the dark, you start to become very aware that we are still part of London and that knife crime, muggings and other threats are sadly not unheard of.
