Community Safety

There has been a substantial drop in the proportion of people feeling safe in Newham.

This priority includes (but is not limited to):

• improving women’s safety
• tackling the roots of crime and anti-social behaviour
• raising awareness around hate crime and women’s safety
• building trust and accountability in Community Safety services
• improving feeling of safety during the day and at night, including in parks and open spaces.

Residents from Stratford & West Ham chose Community Safety as their second local priority.
