From "People Powered Manor Park"

Go to the project

Proposed budget

GBP 5,000

Description

Clay Together will offer free pottery workshops to local residents of all ages. Delivered by a professional potter, the sessions will provide creative opportunities that improve mental health, reduce stress, and build stronger community connections.

Residents will learn hand-building pottery techniques, with opportunities to showcase their creations in a final exhibition. The project will remove financial barriers, ensuring participation is accessible and inclusive.

By bringing people together through creativity, this project will support health and wellbeing, encourage social cohesion, and leave a lasting legacy of skills and confidence in the community.

Great project proposal. Really hope it can take place. I've experienced throwing pots with one of your teachers and it is a brilliant way of promoting community and wellbeing. Corin

These pottery workshops have been delivered over in Custom House and Canning Town previously and were an absolute joy to attend. They're hands-on, fun and therapeutic, and taught brilliantly, leaving you with a great sense of achievement at having made a beautiful pottery piece at the end of the session. A wonderful project we'd love to see funded!
