Description

Beckton Support Hub is a new community initiative designed to offer advice, advocacy, and well-being support to residents in Beckton and Royal Docks. It aims to create a safe, welcoming environment where local people — particularly Eastern European families and women experiencing isolation — can find practical help, emotional support, and opportunities to connect with others.

What the Project Will Do

The Hub will provide:

Free weekly advice and advocacy sessions covering welfare, housing, education, health, and immigration

Interpreting and form-filling support to help residents navigate local services

Coffee mornings and peer-support groups for women

Guidance and referrals for those affected by hardship or emotional distress

Who It’s For

The project is open to everyone in the Beckton and Royal Docks area, with a focus on supporting communities who may face language barriers, cultural isolation, or limited access to services — including Eastern European residents and women rebuilding confidence after difficult experiences.

Our Mission

Beckton Support Hub seeks to build a stronger, more connected community by empowering people to access the help they need, share their experiences, and support one another.

Our Vision

A community where everyone feels included, informed, and supported — regardless of background or circumstance.

Absolutely vital project for inclusive communities at a time where public services do not have the resources to provide services needed directly to the people who need them.
