Description
After The Barber Connect Project's success, we're launching a new project called "Barb N Engage will provide youth employment opportunities in our community. With 18years of Newham barbering experience, I'm concerned about rising crime due to limited opportunities for children who've faced rejection. I'll mentor teens in barbering to provide them skills to earn a living. We will also organize free haircut events at places like Canning Town Library to promote community engagement and spirit. We seek funding from Newham People Powered Places to empower youth and promote an inclusive economy, benefiting our community. Every person signed up gets: 1. A minimum of 12 weeks free training, 2. A barbering kit which includes standard hair clipper, combs, scissors, clipper oil, and hand sanitizer 3. A certificate that allows student to gain full time/ part time employment with Kings place Barber Shop or any other Barber Shop in Newham
