‘Art and Green Spaces’ by Love E15

This 3-part project will improve the streets of West Ham and bring our community together. Firstly we will improve Stephens Road Play Area (Plaistow Road) by dramatically changing this drab, run down and litter-ridden area. We will build a partial ‘green screen’ to protect the play area from pollution (local priority 1), as well as adding a litter bin, bench, colourful artwork, wildflowers and new signage. This area will become a focal point for future Love E15 community events such as plant swaps, litter picking and gardening workshops, making this a safe and usable space for local residents (local priority 2). Secondly we propose some bold and beautiful graphic art to combat fly-tipping (local priority 1) on Holbrook Road/Corporation Street. This artwork will spread a positive message of love and respect for our community and the environment. And finally we propose to continue tackling other fly-tipping hot spots (local priority 1) in West Ham by maintaining and adding to our beautiful community street planters, where residents can grow a range of flowers and edible plants (local priority 4). All parts of our project will bring love, joy and community cohesion to the streets of West Ham. Love E15 ♥
