Thank you for your comment. We are aware of these issues and have reported them to the relevant teams and external services such as the Community Safety team, MET Police and are regularly meeting with them to ensure actions are taken to resolve or improve the issues. Thank you for your suggestion, one of the scheme’s objectives is to increase greenery and plant more trees along Romford Road. Phase 2 aims to include new trees and planting. Would you like to be contacted to learn more and perhaps help us with planting sessions? If so, please email the team luf.romfordactive@newham.gov.uk
Antisocial behaviour generally
From "Romford Road Public Realm Improvement scheme"
Go to the project
Enforcement against antisocial behaviour in general would make Romford Road and the streets off it much more pleasant to walk. This includes issues with dog mess everywhere, litter, flytipping, people riding electric scooters fast down the pavement, flyer drops for 'massages', and people spitting on the pavement.
Trees and nice maintained planting might help to discourage this kind of thing as well, as it makes an area seem more cared for.
