Fly tipping is the illegal dumping of waste, and it is a serious problem that can have a number of negative consequences.
•It creates unsightly and hazardous eyesores.
•It attracts pests and vermin.
•It pollutes the environment.
•It can pose a health risk to people and animals.
•It costs taxpayers money to clean up.
Here in Upton Avenue and Kingsley Rd, we have a number of ‘quiet’ areas where fly tippers feel this is a great place to dump their rubbish, clogging up the streets, making this place look undesirable and creating hazards on the streets.
The residents of this area want to do something about it now.
We are proposing the installation of planter(s) and signages to combat fly-tipping and ASB in various locations around Upton Avenue & Kingsley Rd (E7).
