Description
The youth led Sustainability Club have generated a proposal to support student mental health and wellbeing at Plashet Girls School, the environment and biodiversity by cultivating a vibrant green oasis in the school playground.
The project is a total re-imagining of an unloved hard-surfaced patch of playground. We will transform this space into a sustainable, environmentally friendly sanctuary where students can unwind, study and connect with nature. The space will double up as an outdoor learning space and be packed with fruit trees and plants that will provide the canteen with an additional source of organic produce to be used in healthy and nutritious low cost meals.
This project is an investment in our future. With the right funding, this living oasis and classroom will continue to grow, fostering health, well-being, learning, and community development for years to come.
